A free demo for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's spin-off, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, launches today! Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam at 7am Pacific / 10am Eastern / 3pm UK time.
The demo, announced via X/Twitter, offers a taste of the full game's action, releasing February 21st on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (without a demo). While progress likely won't carry over, the demo provides access to Honolulu and Madlantis locations, normally unavailable early in the main game.
Players can explore these areas, experiment with the Mad Dog and Sea Dog fighting styles, battle powerful bounty enemies, engage in four ship and deck battles within the Pirates' Coliseum, and utilize new customization options. The demo also features karaoke with three selectable songs.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, following amnesiac pirate Goro Majima, offers ship combat reminiscent of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. The return of Taiga Saejima hints at deeper connections to the main Yakuza/Like a Dragon series. Expect a playtime of approximately 15-18 hours, significantly longer than Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. A Kiryu Kazuma costume is available for those who subscribe to email notifications or a Sega rewards program.
