Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
You'll kick off your adventure right in the heart of town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any excess loot and gearing up. My top pick? A Rifle—it's a steal at just $75 and packs enough punch to fend off most foes, at least temporarily. Don't forget to stock up on coal to keep your boat's old-school engine running.

The next town is a whopping 10,000m away, so get that engine humming and you're off. You might be tempted to stop and take out Zombies and Drowned for loot, but the houses on the sides don't hold much value. If you need to restart, just toss more coal in and let 'er rip. Keep an eye out for the worm on the right, but hold onto your goods until the second safe zone to sell them. Watch out for Big Foot and Zombie mobs along the riverbanks.

After hitting the second safe zone/town, you'll see burning buildings teeming with mobs. If you're with a crew, clear them out; solo, it's not worth the hassle due to the scattered spawn points. Around 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like house packed with Drowned, but also stocked with Shotgun ammo and other goodies. Use them wisely.

By now, the routine is clear—kill, loot, repeat and hope the enemy suffers defeat. That's the core gameplay loop, but to level up your game, focus on efficiency. Use your boat as your primary inventory; empty your bag when you're back on board to save time and space.

A pro tip from this guide? Stack Zombies near the incinerator. It's tempting to rush out of those backwater towns, but efficient loot stacking pays off. Running low on fuel? Just toss a few Zombies in, and you're set.

Keep an eye on Sheriff's offices—they're often crawling with mobs, but the rewards in terms of weapons and ammo are worth it. I kept my shotgun loaded for ages by having a teammate clear the ground floor as we scoured each town.

Save your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress around 25,000m. It's still under construction, making it a prime spot for ambushes. Don't go it alone; aim for a team of at least three, with five being ideal. Be strategic when picking up loot.

Steer clear of Big Feet after 30,000m—they're tough and ammo-hungry. Don't linger; plan your stops wisely. Remember, loot isn't everything.
The town past 50,000m is a prime farming spot, with plenty of Drowned and Zombies. If you've got friends with Shotguns or a Sawnoff, it's perfect. It's also a great place to gather corpses for fuel, so coordinate with your team to prep those bodies for loading.

In the final safe zone, sell everything you've got and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't hold back on taking down Zombies and Drowned; aim to have at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during the final stretch. Around 100,000m, you'll hit open waters and be ready to face the beast. You'll know it's coming when the skies darken.

As the Kraken emerges, everyone must pick a tentacle. The boss has a hefty health bar, and each tentacle can attack and cause damage if not repelled. With five people on board, form a pentagram-like shape and focus on your own tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash—it's an AoE attack signaled by the Kraken winding back and creating a water trail with its tentacle. Use medkits liberally; some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, be cautious of the Roar AoE, which causes minor damage and seems to buff the boss slightly. You'll see it as white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle.

See, it's not as tough as it seems. That's the gist of my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. To speed through the boss even faster, grab one of our Dead Sails codes and see how far and fast you can go. Good luck and smooth sailing!
