Attention, Dead Cells enthusiasts! The era of free updates for this beloved rogue-like is drawing to a close, but not before delivering some thrilling final content. Since its debut in 2018, Dead Cells has kept us on our toes with a steady stream of updates, and now, the journey is winding down. Let's dive into what the final updates for Dead Cells Mobile have in store for us.
What’s in Store?
The last two updates, dubbed Clean Cut and The End is Near, are now available on Android. While the game will remain playable, the developers have decided to cease further updates. These final updates bring a deliciously cursed twist to the gameplay.
First off, we're getting four new weapons to play with. Among them are the giant Sewing Scissors and the Misericorde sword. The Misericorde is particularly intriguing—it delivers massive critical damage to enemies with less than half health, but if you don't finish them off, you'll find yourself cursed.
Another new addition is Anathema, a heavy-ranged weapon that explodes on impact but curses you if it hits anything. There's also a new skill called Indulgence, which unleashes a beam of light for massive damage and can clear some of your curses.
These updates also introduce new game modes like Speedrun and Boss Rush DIY, giving you fresh ways to challenge yourself. Plus, there are 40 new heads to choose from, and an NPC who lets you swap them at will, adding a fun customization element to your adventures.
New Mutations and Enemies Too
The final updates also introduce new mutations to enhance your gameplay. Cursed Flask allows you to use your health flask without consuming a charge, while Damned Vigor gives you a few seconds to kill an enemy and save yourself from death. Demonic Strength boosts your damage if you're cursed, adding a risky yet rewarding element to your strategy.
As for new enemies, prepare to face the Sore Loser, who sticks to you and curses you upon death. The Curser shoots guided cursed skulls and slashes at you if you get too close. And then there's the Doom Bringer, who can outright kill you if she stacks more than 50 curses on you.
So, don't miss out on these final updates for Dead Cells. Head over to the Google Play Store and dive into the new content while it's still fresh and exciting.
