In the latest financial report from Thunderful Group, which has already undergone several rounds of layoffs, an intriguing update on the game Replaced has come to light. The report reveals that the much-anticipated cyberpunk platformer will now not be available to gamers until 2026, marking yet another delay for this title.
Originally slated for a 2022 release, Replaced faced its first delay to 2023, followed by another push to 2024. The developers at Sad Cat Studios had previously announced a release window for 2025, describing the development process as a "unique challenge." Despite these setbacks, the studio remains dedicated to delivering a high-quality product, motivated by the significant attention and high expectations from the gaming community.
Replaced was first introduced to the public in 2021 during Microsoft’s presentation at E3, an event that no longer exists. While Sad Cat Studios has not yet commented on this most recent delay, they have continued to engage with their audience by sharing updates on the game's progress. This summer, for instance, they released combat footage and introduced a new mini-game, keeping fans in the loop about the upcoming title.
