CD Projekt Red continues to deliver new content for Cyberpunk 2077 with another update scheduled for later this month. Will this truly be the game's final patch? Here's everything we know about the upcoming changes.
Cyberpunk 2077 Development Continues
Patch 2.3 Launching June 26
During their June 5 REDstreams event, CD Projekt Red announced another substantial update for Cyberpunk 2077. Patch 2.3 is slated for release on June 26, with further details to be revealed in an upcoming livestream.
CDPR's Global Community Director Marcin Momot confirmed the news via social media, urging fans to watch for additional information. Associate Game Director Pawel Sasko later revealed the team has been secretly developing this update for some time.
Is This Really The Final Update?

The studio has humorously acknowledged their pattern of announcing "final" updates that turn out not to be final. As development shifts toward Cyberpunk 2 (codenamed Orion), this may genuinely mark the conclusion of major updates.
After declaring Patch 2.1 in December 2023 as the "last major update," the team partnered with Virtuos to deliver Patch 2.2 in December 2024. This trend mirrors CDPR's approach to The Witcher 3, which received multiple "final" updates beyond its 2022 next-gen patch.
The developer recently confirmed plans for a complete cross-platform modding system in The Witcher 3's upcoming 10th anniversary update. This suggests CDPR maintains long-term commitment to their flagship titles.

With Cyberpunk 2 in pre-production and The Witcher 4 in development, these legacy titles likely will receive no further major updates. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, including all DLC and updates, recently launched on Nintendo's Switch 2 on June 5, 2025.
