Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting roadmap for Crusader Kings III in 2025, dubbed Chapter IV, which will focus on expanding the game's scope into Asia with new mechanics and regions. The year will be filled with engaging content and updates, ensuring players have plenty to look forward to.
The journey begins with the recently released cosmetic DLC, Crowns of the World. This stylish pack offers six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, allowing players to customize their rulers with more flair and personality.
Come April 28, the first major DLC, Khans of the Steppe, will hit the shelves. This expansion lets players take command of the Mongols as the Great Khan, leading a nomadic horde to conquer and dominate neighboring territories, bringing a new dynamic to the gameplay experience.
Next up, in Q3 (July–September), Coronations will introduce a new ceremonial mechanic. Players will be able to legitimize their reign through grand coronation events, complete with lavish festivities, solemn vows, and crucial decisions that shape the future of their kingdom. This DLC will also enhance political interactions with new advisor and vassal events, adding depth to royal succession strategies.
The chapter will culminate with the release of All Under Heaven, a massive expansion set to launch later in the year. This expansion will open up the entire East Asian map, featuring detailed depictions of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands, offering vast new territories for players to explore and conquer.
Between these major DLC releases, Paradox Interactive will continue to roll out patches aimed at refining game systems and improving AI behavior. The developers are keen on incorporating player feedback to shape future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26.
