Clash of Clans, an iconic piece of mobile gaming history, is about to undergo a significant transformation that will undoubtedly excite its loyal fanbase. Supercell has been gradually modernizing the game to keep it fresh, and the latest update is set to be one of the most impactful yet. The complete removal of troop, spell, and siege unit training times is on the horizon, allowing players to deploy their armies almost instantly and dive into battles quicker than ever before. This change follows the removal of training costs back in 2022, marking another step in streamlining the gameplay experience.
As part of this overhaul, Training Potions and Training Treats will no longer be available through in-app purchases or chest rewards. However, you can still acquire them from the Trader and Gold Pass for now. It's crucial to use these items before the end of the month, as they will be converted to Gems once they are phased out. So, make sure to utilize your stock before it's too late!
To help players adapt to this new change, Supercell is introducing a feature called Match Anytime. This mechanic allows you to attack a snapshot of another player's base when no real opponents are available. You'll still earn rewards from these matches, but the players whose bases are used won't lose anything if defeated. This feature, already utilized in Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now become a standard part of the game.
Alongside these major updates, keep an eye out for additional changes such as Army Donations now requiring Elixirs or Dark Elixirs. For more detailed information on these updates and more, be sure to check out the Supercell blog.
