This announcement came during Sony's CinemaCon presentation, where they unveiled their acquisition of worldwide theatrical rights, excluding Japan, to bring Tatsuki Fujimoto's gripping story to the big screen this fall. While US audiences can mark their calendars for late October, fans in over 80 other countries will get to experience the film a bit earlier on September 24, 2025. In Japan, Toho will handle the release starting September 19, 2025.

First announced in December 2023, *Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc* is a direct sequel to the MAPPA-produced anime series that debuted in 2022. The story centers around Denji, a young protagonist who gains a new lease on life after forging a pact with Pochita, a Chainsaw Devil dog.
