The celebrated actor Chadwick Boseman, renowned for his iconic portrayal of T'Challa in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 20, as announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Variety reports the ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. PT. The Chamber had previously named Boseman among the select group of 2024 honorees slated to receive this distinction.
Boseman passed away in 2020 at the age of 43 after a private battle with colon cancer. His defining role as T'Challa in "Black Panther" and other MCU films left an indelible mark. He even completed voice work for the animated series "What If...?" prior to his death, earning a posthumous Primetime Emmy Award for his performance.
Throughout his 27-year career, he delivered powerful performances as real-life figures, including baseball legend Jackie Robinson in "42" and Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall in "Marshall." His final film role in "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" garnered him a Golden Globe, a SAG Award, and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
