Week 2's challenge requires raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher and then repairing a broken object. The difficulty lies in locating a broken item. Instead of searching, create a broken object yourself. While using the "prank" interaction is an option, it requires specific Sim traits. A simpler method is to repeatedly use an item until it breaks.
The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive choice. Repeated use (around a dozen times) will cause it to malfunction, fulfilling the "broken object" requirement. This can be done by your Sim or by having guests use it.
Repairing the broken object is simple once your Handiness skill reaches level 2. Simply select the "Repair" interaction on the broken toilet. After a short time, the repair is complete, and the challenge is conquered.
