Borderlands 4 will launch at a $70 price point, publisher 2K Games confirmed as preorders become available.
The pricing discussion gained traction after Gearbox development chief Randy Pitchford sparked controversy with a series of tweets addressing fan concerns.
Pitchford responded to a fan expressing hesitation about potentially paying $80 for Borderlands 4 by stating: "True fans will find a way to support the game."
Following backlash, Pitchford clarified his comments in subsequent tweets. We now have official confirmation that Borderlands 4's Standard Edition will retail for $69.99.

All editions are now available for preorder ahead of the global release on September 12, 2025. Preorder customers will receive the Gilded Glory Pack containing exclusive cosmetic items.
The Standard Edition includes the base game priced at £59.99 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms (Steam/Epic Games Store).
