Beginner's Guide to Mastering Rune Slayer

After two failed launches and months of anticipation, *Rune Slayer* has finally hit the scene, and it's absolutely glorious. Whether you're new to MMORPGs or a seasoned veteran, diving into *Rune Slayer* can be overwhelming. But fear not, we've crafted a comprehensive guide to help you navigate your journey in this exciting new world.

Rune Slayer Beginner Tips

Here are some essential tips that we wish we knew from the start to make your *Rune Slayer* experience smoother and more enjoyable.

Do Not Randomly Attack Other Players

When we first heard about *Rune Slayer*'s full-loot PvP system, we feared it might turn into a chaotic bloodbath. Fortunately, that's not quite the case. **Dying in *Rune Slayer* doesn't result in losing anything**, even if you're taken down by other players. You simply respawn and continue your adventure.

However, **attacking other players will place a bounty on you**. The more players you kill, the higher your bounty grows, and with a higher bounty, **you'll drop more items upon death**. Essentially, full-loot PvP is only activated if you start attacking others and eventually get defeated yourself.

Therefore, our advice is to **avoid attacking other players** unless you have a strong reason or a group of friends to back you up as you take on the PvP challenge.

Craft Bags ASAP

You'll quickly notice that both your **bank space and inventory are limited**. With only 50 item slots, your inventory can fill up faster than you think. To manage this, **craft bags as soon as possible**. You can equip up to two bags simultaneously, starting with the **Cotton Bag**.

**Gather Cotton from the north of Wayshire and Flax from the south** (be cautious of mobs in the south). Each Cotton Bag adds an extra 10 slots, so prioritize crafting these early on.

Your Pets Don’t Actually Die

There's a common misunderstanding that your tamed pets die permanently when their health reaches zero. In reality, **a pet that "dies" can't be summoned for 5 minutes**. You can **check the cooldown by holding T**. Once the cooldown is over, hold T again to resummon your pet.

Bonus Tip: To **quickly heal your pet**, simply store and unstore it at the stable master. You have one free slot, so make use of it.

Grab All the Quests (Yes, All of Them)

*Rune Slayer* is packed with quests, many of which are not repeatable and can seem forgettable. Most are standard "Kill 10 X" quests typical of MMORPGs, and you might not even read through them all.

To manage this, **accept every quest you come across**. Grab everything from the Job board as well. Completing multiple quests at once is far more efficient than tackling them one by one. You might even find that you can complete several quests simultaneously, which can save you a lot of time.

Craft Everything at Least Once (Even Things You Don’t Need)

While you should craft what you need first, **don't hesitate to use spare materials to craft items you don't immediately require**. Crafting items for the first time can **unlock new and more powerful crafting options**. For instance, we unlocked a range of Iron Armor recipes after smelting our first Iron Ore. So, be generous with your materials and explore the crafting system.

Join a Guild

*Rune Slayer* is designed to be solo-friendly, but as you progress, you'll encounter **tougher enemies** that are better tackled in groups. The **easiest way to find a group is by joining a guild**.

Either announce in the general chat that you're looking for a guild, or use the official *Rune Slayer* Discord server to find one. Having a guild can make dealing with the game's more challenging content much more manageable.
