EA has introduced Battlefield Labs, an innovative initiative aimed at giving select players early access to future titles within the Battlefield series. This internal closed beta program allows participants to experience core mechanics and concepts before they become part of the final product. However, not all features tested during this phase will make it into the released version. Participants must agree to an NDA to access various gameplay elements, ensuring confidentiality.
The initial testing stages will focus on combat systems and the game's destruction mechanics. Later phases will involve balance adjustments and fine-tuning. Players will be able to try out popular modes such as Conquest and Breakthrough. Pre-registrations are now open for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series users, with invitations set to roll out to a few thousand participants in the coming weeks. Expansion plans to additional regions are also underway.
According to the developers, the game has reached a critical stage of development. While no official release date has been announced yet, the title is currently being worked on by four teams: DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect.
