Bandai Namco is once again diving into the mobile gaming world with their latest offering, *Digimon Alysion*, a digital adaptation of the popular Digimon Card Game. This free-to-play title is set to launch on both Android and iOS platforms, although an exact release date has yet to be announced.
The official announcement came during Digimon Con 2025 on March 19th, where Bandai Namco also unveiled several other exciting updates. Fans can look forward to a new arc in *Digimon Liberator* starting in April 2025. Additionally, a special video was released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime, alongside the reveal of a new project, *Digimon Adventure: Beyond*. They're also developing a new RPG titled *Digimon Story: Time Stranger*, which will be available on consoles and PC.
Digimon Alysion: Not Just a Port
*Digimon Alysion* isn’t merely a digital version of the physical card game. It introduces a new type of card called ‘DigiAly’ cards, which are exclusive to this mobile version. Along with these, Bandai Namco is bringing fresh Digimon and characters into the mix. The character lineup, predominantly featuring an all-girls cast, is a departure from the norm for digital card games, sparking some skepticism among fans who were expecting a more faithful adaptation of the physical game.
This isn’t the first time Bandai Namco has tried their hand at a Digimon mobile game. Their previous attempts have not been particularly successful, leading to some reservations about whether *Digimon Alysion* will fare any better. Despite this, the anticipation for the game remains high. A closed beta test is currently in the planning stages, though specific details are still under wraps.
