Just one month following its launch and its inclusion on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released a new trailer for Avowed, celebrating the game's reception. The trailer features glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, emphasizing the positive feedback for this action-RPG.
The latest update for Avowed introduces support for DLSS 4, incorporating Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These enhancements significantly boost performance, with NVIDIA showcasing up to a threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving up to 340 FPS. Additionally, the developers have hinted at upcoming announcements regarding future support and the game’s roadmap in the coming weeks.
Beyond technical upgrades, this update also enriches the player experience. Players will now earn an extra talent point every five levels, with those who have already advanced receiving their points automatically upon loading the game. For keyboard and mouse users, a new feature allows toggling between walking and running. Furthermore, a new accessibility option increases font sizes for documents, guides, and other in-game text, enhancing readability for all players.
While Avowed has not left critics completely speechless, it has still earned robust reviews. Digital Foundry hailed the game as a technical "triumph," further cementing its status as a remarkable achievement from Obsidian.
