MiHoYo, the Chinese developer behind HoYoVerse, has been busy lately, significantly altering their upcoming project, previously known as Astaweave Haven. Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing a transformation, hopefully for the better.
For fans of gacha or RPGs, Astaweave Haven might be a familiar name. While official details remain scarce, this title promises a departure from HoYoVerse's typical open-world gacha adventures. Early indications suggest a life-simulation or management game, reminiscent of Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This leads us to the big news: Astaweave Haven's new moniker – Petit Planet.
The name change is a welcome one. "Petit Planet" feels more charming and hints at the management sim genre, distinguishing it from MiHoYo's usual gacha RPG offerings.
Release Date Uncertainty
Development continues with no official release date. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile in July. However, on October 31st, HoYoVerse registered "Petit Planet," now awaiting US and UK approval.
Given MiHoYo's rapid release schedule (consider Zenless Zone Zero following Honkai: Star Rail), post-approval launch seems likely. We eagerly anticipate a proper look at Petit Planet soon.
