ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled
Studio Wildcard has unveiled an ambitious content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending through late 2026. This detailed plan outlines a significant expansion of the ARK: Survival Evolved remaster, leveraging Unreal Engine 5 for enhanced performance and introducing new maps, creatures, and features.
Key highlights from the roadmap include:
-
Unreal Engine 5.5 Upgrade (March 2025): This crucial update will significantly boost performance and pave the way for individual DLC map downloads, reducing the overall game size. Nvidia's frame generation support will also return.
-
New Maps and Creatures: The roadmap details a steady stream of content additions. Free maps like Ragnarok Ascended and Valguero Ascended will be released, alongside community-voted free creatures and exciting new "Fantastic Tames." A premium map (details to be announced) is slated for June 2025.
-
Genesis and Fjordur Remasters (2026): Both parts of the Genesis expansion will receive the Ascended treatment, arriving in April and August 2026 respectively, alongside installments of Bob's True Tales. Fjordur Ascended will also join the free content roster in December 2026, accompanied by another community-voted creature.
-
Ongoing Content: Three additional Fantastic Tames are planned for release throughout 2026.
The roadmap provides a high-level overview, suggesting the possibility of additional unannounced surprises throughout the next two years. The focus remains on delivering a refined and expanded ARK experience for players, combining performance enhancements with fresh content. The initial release of ARK: Survival Ascended in late November 2023 marks the beginning of this exciting journey, with regular updates planned to keep the game fresh and engaging.
