Two Pokémon from the Galar region are making their debut in Pokémon Go this month, offering players a mix of sweetness and fiery action. During the Sweet Discoveries event, running from April 24th to 29th, the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin will make its first appearance. Evolving Applin into either Flapple or Appletun requires 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve into Flapple, and Sweet Apples for Appletun. These apples can be found in the wild, particularly around areas with Mossy Lures, and may even trigger Applin encounters.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you'll encounter wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will provide opportunities to catch themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research tasks, available in both free and paid versions, offer Sweet and Tart Apples. The paid version also includes extra Mossy Lure Modules and additional Applin encounters.
Don't miss out on the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and keep an eye on PokéStop Showcases featuring themed Pokémon. For those interested in more intense battles, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th-27th, where Dynamax Entei will debut.
