Ubisoft Mainz has just dropped exciting new details about their upcoming game, Anno 117: Pax Romana, through a captivating trailer. Initially announced with the promise of exploring two distinct regions, Lazio and Albion, the latest preview indicates that players will start their journey in the peaceful region of Lazio. However, a sudden disaster will thrust them into the rugged and challenging lands of Albion, representing ancient Britain.
According to Creative Director Manuel Rainer, Lazio serves as a tranquil starting point before an unexpected catastrophe forces players to venture into the unknown territories of Albion. This region is notorious for its harsh climate, rebellious tribes, and its significant distance from Rome, making governance a complex task. As the governor, players are challenged to navigate these difficulties without solely relying on violence. Instead, they can foster peace by respecting and integrating with local customs.
A notable feature of Anno 117: Pax Romana is the ability to customize ships strategically. Players can opt for increased speed by employing oarsmen or enhance their ship's firepower with onboard archery turrets, adding a layer of tactical depth to their journey.
Anno 117: Pax Romana is set to launch in 2025, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms, promising a rich and immersive gaming experience.
