The Surging Sparks set is a whirlwind of excitement. It's packed with chase cards that are worthy of being graded and slabbed, like the $432 Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rare. Yes, you read that right. This little electric mouse isn't just a powerhouse collectible; it's a beast in battle. Latias, the rarer and pricier sibling, commands over $200, proving that big sibling energy comes at a premium. Meanwhile, Milotic ex is not only a visual stunner with its light and shadow effects but also a strategic counter to Tera Pokémon, making it a versatile addition to any deck.
My personal favorite? Ceruledge. Its neon-infused art gives off fever-dream vibes in the best way possible. Illustrator Rond has truly outdone themselves, and I believe they deserve a round of applause—or at least a coffee. Ceruledge may not be a top-tier competitive Pokémon, but with this stunning artwork, it’s a must-have for me.
If you're a collector, the potential value of these cards is undeniable. If you're a player, some of these cards are game-changers on the battlefield. And if you simply enjoy the thrill of uncovering shiny new cards and taking a $45 gamble on cardboard, then you're in good company. I've already opened one box, and now I'm convincing myself I "need" another for science.The bundle includes six booster packs, so while there's no guarantee of pulling a heavy hitter, the rapid sell-out rate suggests not to wait too long. After all, Pikachu isn't going to pull itself.
