It's not just Gabe Newell who's known for responding to emails, but not all news is good for those who reach out. A Reddit user shared a reply they received from Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney after emailing him with one simple question: when would Alan Wake 2 by Remedy be released on Steam?
Unfortunately for the gamer, Sweeney's reply was short and to the point, stating categorically that the release on Steam won't happen, with no further comments provided. Disappointed, the user mentioned they would have to resort to plan B: purchasing the game on Xbox.

Alan Wake 2 stands out from most Epic Games Store exclusives because Epic Games not only published this horror title but also co-financed its development alongside Remedy. Remedy stated that the sales of Alan Wake 2 were in line with business forecasts, and the studio was satisfied with this collaboration. However, moving forward, Remedy plans to self-publish its future games, which means they will be available on platforms like Steam as well. Despite this, more than a year after its release, Alan Wake 2 has yet to turn a profit.
