
The popular mobile RPG, The Tale of Food, featuring anthropomorphic food characters, is officially shutting down. Initially launched in China in September 2019, and later distributed by Tencent Games, the game will cease operations on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8).
The Tale of Food Shutdown Details:
In-app purchases have been disabled as of February 18th, 2025. New player registration is also closed, and the game has been removed from the Google Play Store. Existing players can continue playing until the servers shut down on March 20th.
Refunds for In-Game Purchases:
Players who made in-game purchases between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, are eligible for a refund. Contact in-game support or email the developers before March 20th to request a refund. Server Closures:
The Japan server closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. The global server shutdown marks the final closure for the game.
Community Remains:
While the game itself will be unavailable, the official X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active, providing a space for players to share memories and connect.
