Hexanaut.io (or simply Hexanaut) is a captivating .io game where the objective is to dominate as much territory as possible. Strategic planning is key; avoid cutting your own line, or risk being cut by a rival player. Scattered across the map are powerful totems, offering strategic advantages to those who can capture them. How much territory can you claim? Test your skills in this thrilling territorial conquest!
HEXANAUT GAMEPLAY
Use your mouse to navigate the map. Expand your territory by drawing a line, claiming new hexes. Returning to your initial territory closes the loop, securing all enclosed tiles.
However, venturing outside your territory exposes you to danger. If an opponent intercepts your line, you'll be cut off, forcing you to start again.
Your goal is to control 20% of the map to achieve Hexanaut status. Maintaining this control for two minutes secures your victory! A word of caution: elimination while another player holds Hexanaut status results in immediate game over.
THE POWER OF TOTEMS
Five unique totems enhance gameplay in Hexanaut.io. Strategic capture is crucial for success. Each totem offers distinct advantages:

Spreading Totem: This totem directly expands your territory by emitting lasers that claim hexes. Particularly useful in the early game when land acquisition can be challenging.

Speed Totem: A 5% speed boost may seem modest, but the cumulative effect of multiple Speed Totems significantly enhances your maneuvering capabilities. Prioritize their capture for a considerable advantage.

Teleporting Gate: Instantaneous transportation across your territory. Ideal for managing large territories and outmaneuvering opponents. Use it to swiftly defend against attacks on distant borders or to launch surprise attacks.

Slowing Totem: Creates a zone that drastically slows down opponents. Use this to your advantage by eliminating slowed enemies within the affected area. Conversely, avoid enemy Slowing Totems.

Spy Dish: Reveals the territories of all other players on the map. Invaluable for defending against attacks on your established territory, allowing you to anticipate and counter enemy advances.
