The goal in Hearts is to finish with the lowest score. You must follow suit by playing a card from the same suit as the lead (e.g., Clubs). If you cannot follow suit, you may play any card—though on the first trick, you cannot play a Heart or the Queen of Spades. The player who puts down the highest card of the leading suit wins the trick and leads the next one. The trick winner scores 1 point for each Heart collected and 13 points for the Queen of Spades. However, if a player captures all the Hearts and the Queen of Spades (Shooting the Moon), that player scores 0 points while all others receive 26 points! The game ends as soon as any player reaches 100 points or more.
