This OBD2 engine diagnostics tool utilizes a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth ELM327 adapter to access and display real-time data from your vehicle's electronic control units (ECUs). Key features include graphical data representation, data logging for later review, and the ability to read and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Users can also set custom min/max thresholds for sensors, triggering alerts when values exceed these limits.
Compatibility:
The app supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ELM327 OBD adapters. Version 1.5 to 2.1 adapters are recommended, as later versions have reported inconsistencies. Crucially, ELM327 functionality requires OBD2 compatibility in your vehicle:
- USA: 1996 and later
- Europe: 2001 and later (gasoline), 2003 and later (diesel)
- Japan: Approximately 2000 and later
Extended Vehicle Support:
Beyond standard OBDII parameters, the app offers expanded support for various car brands, including (but not limited to): BMW, BYD, Chery, Chrysler/Dodge, Citroen, Daewoo, Fiat, Ford, Geely, GM/Chevrolet/Pontiac, GreatWall, Honda, Jeep, KIA, Hyundai, Land Rover, Lifan, Mazda, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Skoda, SsangYong, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, VAG, Volvo, VAZ, GAZ, ZAZ, and UAZ. Specific supported parameters vary by brand and model. A "Settings / PID types" menu allows users to select desired parameters.
Advanced Features (Certain Models):
Some vehicles, particularly certain Mitsubishi models, allow for system control (e.g., activating cooling fans or fuel pumps). However, accessing Mitsubishi's MUT parameters and controlling actuators on CAN-bus equipped vehicles (Montero/Pajero IV, Outlander 2, etc.) requires a profile configured with the ISO 9141-2 protocol. Note that not all Mitsubishi CAN-bus models support this protocol.
Customization:
The app provides extensive opportunities for creating custom parameters.
