In this oppressive totalitarian State, every aspect of life is under strict control. Laws are stringent, surveillance is omnipresent, and privacy is extinct. As the State-appointed manager of an apartment building, your daily duties include ensuring the building remains a comfortable haven for its tenants, who will come and go.
However, this role is merely a cover for your true mission.
The State has tasked you with SPYING ON YOUR TENANTS! Your primary job is to covertly monitor their activities and listen in on their conversations. You must strategically BUG their apartments during their absence, SEARCH their personal belongings for anything that could undermine the State's authority, and meticulously PROFILE them for your superiors. It's your duty to REPORT any tenant suspected of law-breaking or engaging in subversive actions against the State.
Beholder challenges you to make choices - choices that carry weight!
How will you handle the information you gather? Will you report a father's suspicious activities, potentially orphaning his children? Or will you keep his illegal actions under wraps, giving him an opportunity to correct his course? Alternatively, you could choose to blackmail him to secure the money your family desperately needs.
