Upgrades
While the game is primarily free to play, you can enhance your experience with upgrades. Choose your starting side and territory to tailor your gameplay. Unleash your creativity with fantasy battles between any two cultures, featuring as many warriors as your device can support. You can even customize every character in the game, though be aware that the game utilizes up to 1,000 characters that are regularly updated.
Controls
When controlling a specific character, you can opt for the "Classic" one-handed control system or the "Dual Wield" method, where each hand is controlled independently. If you're new to these controls, you can pause the game at any time by hitting the dateline and consult the "Controls" guide. Keep an eye out for in-game hints from scrolls or books that you can read for additional guidance.
Switch between team members effortlessly by tapping their health meter or pointing directly at them on the battlefield. Activate "Commander" mode by tapping the arrows at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to direct any active team member by swiping from their current location to a new one. Whether you want them to relocate, engage an enemy, or pick up an item, they'll interpret your commands, though they may have other priorities at times.
No matter your device or control method, you can always zoom in or out by pinching the center of the screen.
Map
In the main "Campaign" mode, expand your territory by moving units between connected areas. You can either fortify your existing territories or attempt to seize rival ones. Remember, only 50% of the units in a territory are available for movement, making invasion more challenging than defense.
The population of inhabited territories can grow after each round, so controlling multiple areas is crucial. Units will also heal over time, encouraging you to strategize with different locations each turn.
Performance
This game is my most ambitious project to date and may require a high-end device to run smoothly at 100%. To optimize performance, consider reducing the "Population" setting to limit the number of characters on screen, or adjust other features in the "Display" options.
