Starting with vowels is recommended due to their ease of pronunciation. There are 10 vowels in Russian: A, O, U, Y, I, E, Yo, E, Yu, Ya. Initially, children learn 6 basic vowel sounds: A, O, U, Y, I, E, followed by 4 vowel letters formed by sound combinations: E = Y + O; E = Y + E; Yu = Y + U; Ya = Y + A. Vowels can also be categorized as stressed or unstressed.
Moving on to consonants, the game covers 21 consonants: B, V, G, D, ZH, Z, J, K, L, M, N, P, R, S, T, F, X, Ts, Ch, Sh, Shch, along with the two auxiliary letters Ь and Ъ. The Russian alphabet comprises a total of 33 letters.
